Tasting OpenIPMP - Installing MySQL (2), finding rpm for perl DBI

In yesterday blog, we tried to install MySQL but encountered requiring perl(DBI) problem.

As we planned to use rpm installation, we have to find the perl DBI rpm, where can we find it?
We do not have the disc nearby and we should get it from net. Random search on RedHat or Fedora? Sounds no good.

Well, Google seems to be good little helper.
By searching the magic phrase "perl DBI rpm", great! It returns the location on rpmfind.net.
Grabbing the rpm and install it, then install MySQL again.

Everything seems good but just the init script not start the mysql server properly.
Well, luckily, it still can be started by command line. I finally gave up after trying to fix the script for one and a half hour and planned to look at it later.

Now, I should test login the server, silly me, I found I have not installed the client, so grab from mysql site.

Okay, try to go the next step - JDK and JBoss

Myload is not quite heavy recently, my boss asked me to do some research on OMA DRM 2.0 (Open Mobile Alliance Digital Rights Management 2.0).
After spending sometimes on reading, it is time to try a hand.

Basically, to make a content in drm 2.0, it requires two parts, one is the making the the content in DCF (DRM Content Format), and setup a Right Server.

We found a open source project OpenIPMP, and have a look on it.
It gets a SDK for DCF file and a DRM Server.
To install the OpenIPMP, it needs
· MySQL database server.
· Java Software Development Kit.
· JBoss application server.

However, our company standard database platform is postgres and that mean I have to install MySQL myself

Well, I haven't toyed MySQL for quite a long time and even longer to install her.

Firstly, download the mySQL rpm. Of course, installing from the source provides more flexibility, however, using rpm is quick and and easier to figure out what other components missing.

Visiting the dophlin site (dophlin is MySQL logo), http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/, choose a mirror and get your rpm.

Then, at the shell prompt, type "rpm --install <mysql.rpm.filename>". If everything goes fine, it would be installed. Unfortunately, it is not in my case. It told:

error: Failed dependencies:
perl(DBI) is needed by MySQL-server-community-5.0.37-0.rhel4.i386

which means the system I worked on did not have all required library for the package. So, I have to install the perl first. Where do I find the perl rpm?

逛逛女僕咖啡屋

這裡便是聖地了...

傳說在聖地秋葉原有一種叫「女僕咖啡屋」的店子，偶一直想慕名而到，無奈缺乏 $$ 到日本一遊，只好把願望藏心裡。

早陣子，從網友中得知，在偉大的祖國南方，名為五羊之城，有某偉大的店長開了一間這樣的店子，聽罷，便決定找機會逛逛去。

這次湊巧有活動，可以北上羊城，可嘆一眾原說有興趣者，因種種原由，結果只有小的下了決心，冒著廣交會難找旅館，單人也要上廣州一行。

星期六晚上，活動之後，我們終於到達此行重點節目了。
(在活動時，碰上某人，難得他也有與趣看看，所以一起到來了。)


之前打聽過，目的地在地鐵的公園前站附近，可惜當時我們所在之處，離地鐵站蠻不近，所以，只好打的了，而很快便到達咱們的目的地 - 西湖路的光明廣場，搭電梯上六樓，電梯門一開，便看到偉大的「歡迎主人回來」的招牌，這便是伊萊特宮殿了。

商場這一層，基本上是電玩中心，有很多電子玩戲機，而咱們的宮殿，便在落在右面的，很易找到的丫。

懷著緊張和興奮的心情，把門推開，歡迎咱 們來到，是一群蠻可愛的小女僕，場中，女僕們把客稱呼為主人，她們溫柔的聲音，主人前主人後的，聽得人軟軟的，而服務蠻真的不懶，咱們喝咖啡，可愛的女僕妹妹，還替你落糖加奶攪拌，主人樣的感覺真好。

吃的方面，因為原本只是咖啡室，所以比較少選擇，有些簡單的小吃跟簡單的套餐，週六週日的套餐是芝士吞拿魚意粉，加點薄餅，大概是香腸片加點醬料放在麵包上烤焗出來的，而小吃連精緻點的蛋榚、芝士餅也沒有，所以，如果著意在吃方面的，這裡可能不太適合你了。

不過，服務真的是很好很好，菜單上，還有特別服務的，詳情各位找找偶 Flickr 的相薄看看罷。

偶便找了 真攸妹妹跟樹妖妹妹拍照了，可惜沒跟 Kawaii 妹妹和免耳妹妹拍照，下次該補回。

整體而言，服務水平很好，感覺很好，很有特色，下午茶會是不錯的選擇，如果對吃的要求不高，晚膳也可以的，價錢也蠻合理，大家到廣州玩時，不妨找機會看看。

這是是次澳門之旅，有些團友表示希望到大三巴這樣有特式的地方看看，所以，我們來到這裡了。

ps. 其實，這是測試由 Flickr 到 blog 的功能。大家不妨到偶的相薄看看。

Flickr - 網上相簿

之前看過雜誌介紹，這次趁過澳門遊玩，把拍下來的照弄弄，首先，輸入網址 www.flickr.com，看到一堆說它很棒的介紹，所以，費話少說，趕快登記是大。

按下登記 (sign up)，嘩，原來 Flickr 跟 Yahoo! 連合了，用 Yahoo! ID 登入便可以了，好了，偶現在要上傳這次旅程的一大堆相片，在下面的選項中，You 一列中有 Upload 一項，大概沒差吧。在左方一個 Uploading Tools，Flickr 是有用量限制的，而且是推流量計的，看看它的 upload tool 對方面有什麼幫助？

下載及安裝了相關的工具，啟動，丫，要一個簡單的網頁啟用，按兩下便成，選擇放相片的目錄，嘩，他說原相太大了，有選項縮小，那試選選 800 pixels 好了，這個可能相太多了，弄了一段時間，不過，太概可以減少上傳的時間吧。

等待時，看看指引，原來是禁止把Flickr 內的相作討論區頭像的，原來，Flickr 還可以直接 blog 的，要試試看。

不過，等了很久，還沒上傳完，看來，只好睡睡了。
